The young father accused of causing a crash that killed a brother and sister allegedly filmed himself eating KFC in the hours before turning himself into police.
Alina Kauffman, 24, and her brother, Ernesto Salazer, 15, died when an allegedly stolen Mercedes SUV crossed to the wrong side of the road and collided with their Toyota Echo in Heckenberg, in Sydney‘s southwest, at 9.20pm on Friday.
Johnson Kokozian, 20, is accused of being behind the wheel and has been charged with two counts of dangerous driving occasioning death, two counts of failing to stop and assist after vehicle impact causing death, negligent driving occasioning death, and driving a vehicle during a disqualification period.
Mr Kokozian can be seen in the hours after the alleged crash in a Snapchat video allegedly dining on KFC chicken, chips and gravy.
He was refused bail at Parramatta Bail Court on Sunday.

It is alleged Mr Kokozian and two other people climbed out of the wrecked Mercedes and got into another car to drive off after making no attempt to help the siblings who were fatally wounded in the Echo.
Magistrate Rob Rabbidge said he was satisfied Kokozian was the Mercedes driver in what he called an ‘appalling situation’ as he refused bail, the Daily Telegraph reported.
The court heard police had visited Kokozian father’s house following the crash to alert him about it.
The court heard the man allegedly claimed the car had been stolen.
Kokozian, who has a son, was supported by his girlfriend and father in court.
Angelina Kauffman, the mother of Alina and Ernesto, said her beautiful two kids ‘did not deserve to die’.
She said Alina had just picked up Ernesto from his new job at a Kmart only 200m from their family home
Alina called me and said “Mum, I picked up my brother, we are going to get some food and then we are coming home”,’ Angelina told the Daily Telegraph.
‘I said “are you OK?” and they said “yes mummy”.’

When they failed to return home Ms Kauffman and one of her other children used an app to find the wrecked car.
‘The police came and told me my kids died. My beautiful kids,’ she said through tears.
Alina was a nurse who worked with the elderly, while Ernesto was hoping to save money from the Kmart job to buy his first car.
‘He was the kindest, sweetest boy, he didn’t have a bad bone in his body.
‘Alina was so beautiful.
