Members of the latter union walked out on Friday, causing widespread disruption around the rail network.

Problems for rail travellers continue today, with a strike by members of the Rail Maritime and Transport union coinciding with a refusal by drivers in the Aslef union to do overtime.

It is the latest set of strikes amid long-running disputes over pay, jobs and conditions.

The last train to London Paddington will leave Oxford railway station at 6.07pm this evening. The final train to London Marylebone, a line run by Chiltern Railways, will depart at 6.36pm.

Those travelling from London to Oxford will have to be on the 6.22pm service from Paddington. The final scheduled service from London Marylebone to Oxford departs the capital at 3.40pm.

The final train from Oxford to Banbury leaves the city at 6.25pm. The last service in the opposite direction leaves Banbury at 7.10pm, arriving in Oxford at 7.36pm.

According to National Rail, there are no Cotswolds-bound services, servicing Hanborough, Charlbury or Kingham stations.
